Annual Migration Survey (AMS) 2024

Annual Migration Survey 2024

The International Institute of Migration and Development (IIMAD) is set to launch its first Annual Migration Survey (AMS) in November and December 2024. This survey marks the beginning of a yearly effort that will continue until the next large-scale survey is conducted in 2028. Each AMS will focus on a distinct theme, aiming to study migration trends and inform policy development for the betterment of society. The sample for the AMS will be drawn from the Kerala Migration Survey (KMS) 2023, which covered 20,000 households across 500 localities in Kerala’s fourteen districts. The 2024 AMS will target 5,000 randomly selected households from 125 localities, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the state.
