Jolin Joseph is a Doctoral Candidate and Vanier Scholar in Gender, Feminist and Women’s studies at York University, Toronto. Her research considers feminist analysis of migration policies and political economy implications of transnational care migration and gendered-racialized precarious labour. Joseph has taught courses on Migrant Workers and Human Rights that foreground living and working conditions of Caregivers, Agricultural Workers and other migrant and marginal groups in Canada. She has a background in migrant advocacy and was a Research Associate at the Centre for Development Studies, where she collaborated on projects and published in the area of gender, temporary labour mobility and South-South migration.
