IIMAD is pleased to announce the launch of the website for Migration and Development Journal(MAD) “Migration and Development” is available at https://journals.sagepub.com/home/mad At launch, the journal begins a free access period which ends on (06-12-2023).

Kerala Migration Survey 2023 takes place through Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation under the direction of Dr. S. Irudaya Rajan, Visiting Fellow, GIFT and Chair, IIMAD which is funded by the Government of Kerala.

Dr. C. Valatheeswaran is a postdoctoral fellow at Social Sciences Institute (MUSSI), National University of Ireland, Maynooth. He is currently working on the PANIWATER research project which is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program. He did his Ph.D and M.Phil in Applied Economics at Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Trivandrum affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He has published research papers related to migration studies in peer-reviewed international journals such as Migration Letters, International Migration, Refugee Survey Quarterly, Indian Journal of Labour Economics and Margin: The Applied Economic Research. He has also worked as a co-researcher on various research projects funded by European Union (EU), International Organisation for Migration (IOM), Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) Government of India, Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Government of Kerala and Government of Tamil Nadu. His research interests include migration and refugee studies, labour economics, human capital, water and policy evaluation.
