IIMAD is pleased to announce the launch of the website for Migration and Development Journal. (MAD) “Migration and Development” is available at https://journals.sagepub.com/home/mad At launch, the journal begins a free access period which ends on (06-12-2023).

Kerala Migration Survey 2023 takes place through Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation under the direction of Dr. S. Irudaya Rajan, Visiting Fellow, GIFT and Chair, IIMAD which is funded by the Government of Kerala.

Balasubramanyam Pattath (Balu) is a PhD candidate in Development Economics at the Graduate Institute, Geneva. Prior to joining the Graduate Institute, Balu worked as a research associate in the Economics and Public Policy Department at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He holds a Master’s in development studies also from the Graduate Institute and a Bachelor’s in economics from the University of Delhi. Balu also co-designed the return emigrant survey 2021 in Kerala and Tamil Nadu and worked for the Centre for Development Studies as a survey coordinator for the Kerala Migration Survey 2018.
